When describing his climb to becoming CEO of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Darwin E. Smith, is quoted saying, “I never stopped trying to become qualified for the job.” I love this quote because it shows his dedication and reminds us that the work never stops.
Many times, we work hard to get the degree then we work hard to make a good impression at the interview, but plateau once we have the job. Complacency and comfort kill success. There is always work to be done and we should always be busy; keep reading books and keep asking questions. Excel at your job but since you can’t cheat the hustle, you absolutely have to remain a student of your craft.
