I’ve heard so many people give this advice without ever providing an explanation that really resonated with me. I guess their advice never stuck because the reason is just something you have to come to understand on your own; and I think it finally hit me. So here it is:
When you finally get to the point where you’re setting BIG, scary goals that surpass your own mental capacity you have to start leaning on something bigger than yourself. There is something invigorating about reading these shiny, brand new goals because it reminds you that God is still in the business of making miracles happen and that nothing is impossible. But it also reminds you that there is no way you can accomplish these by yourself. Reading your goals everyday reminds you to stop, drop, and pray for the clarity to see your next move and the confidence to take that first step. So you write out the scary goals, read them daily to scare the heck out of yourself, and recieve a reminder to seek instructions for your journey.
These goals are requests for God, so reading them is a form of prayer. And because you should be praying daily, reading your goals gets you in the right mindset for divine intervention.
